BEST TAQUERIA EVER!!
This Taqueria is beautiful and clean! I enjoy eating here FAR more than most actual Mexican Restaurants. The decor is amazing. The food is amazing. The salsa bar is one of the best I have ever seen anywhere.
Been enjoying this place often for years. I thought I wrote this review a long time ago.
THIS IS A REAL REVIEW BY A REAL CUSTOMER. I DO NOT GET MONEY OR KICK BACKS OF ANY KIND FOR ANY YELP REVIEWS - POSTIVE OR OTHERWISE. -

Now I know why they have a lousy Yelp rating. It is deserved.
I had been craving Mexican food for a couple of weeks so my husband and I walked over to the neighborhood taqueria. We had ordered food to go a couple months ago and it was just okay. First warning.
At the counter, I ordered a carne asada taco salad. I asked the girl taking our order if it did, indeed, come with guacamole. She confirmed that it did. (See below.) My husband ordered a carne asada burrito with refried beans. We each ordered a regular margarita. Thankfully, because it was the only good thing. The salsa bar is okay, the tortilla chips are very average.
Our food arrived quickly, before the margaritas. Not good. As we began to eat our entrees, my salad started "leaking" a watery substance under the edible taco bowl. It took several napkins to stop it. It was as if they had cleaned the salad greens and never drained them. Ugh! Also, NO guacamole, really?!? (See above). My husband's burrito had regular beans, not refried. Another fail.
We now wish we had driven the short distance to La Morenita at
Coffee Road and Sylvan. We have enjoyed consistently good food there.
We will NOT be returning to Taquiera Mis Compadres, ever! Check out the new Taquiera Mexicano near Big Lots at Briggsmore and Oakdale Rd.
See you there! -

Definitely a no go for both their chile relleno and their enchilada combo.
Very hard chewy meat with chunks of fat and a weird tasting red sauce. Very plain black beans and dry unflavored rice, though it looks like it has spices and flavors, we couldn't taste any.
My brother had their burrito and said the same thing.
The chips and salsa were about the best thing here.
Don't order their machine made way too sugary horchata. It's just water, powder, and sugar.
Ugh, this place was a waste of money! -

Been a customer here for over 10 years. One of the best. Cleanest and pretty economical.

This USED to be a great place to eat.. The last time we were there I had to return my burrito because it had lettuce and tomato on it. Apparently they don't put lettuce and tomato but three other people also returned for the same reason. This time we got two super burritos one regular burrito and spent $32.. I was charged for things I didn't even order plus my husband got a shrimp and steak burrito with extra shrimp. I was charged $4 for extra shrimp and he had a total of 6 shrimp on his burrito. His burrito was mostly refried beans that tasted like they were from the day before. They were thick and tasted like canned beans. They have definitely lost our business for good. When your charging as much as you are charging, the food and service better be perfect.
